• You Wanna Fight Like a Girl?

  • You wanna fight like a girl?

Before you answer that question let me share a few things with you. In the summer of 2011 we started to develop a women’s self defense program. We had realized that many techniques that work for men don’t necessarily work for women. This fact had bothered me for a while. Face it – men are just in general a lot stronger than women.

I had read about the Fight Like a Girl program in the MA Success Magazine and Kym Rock herself contacted us personally to see if we were interested in teaching her program in this area. The timing was perfect. So long story short – last fall we started teaching Kym Rock’s Fight Like a Girl program at our karate school. During our certification process and our time preparing to launch this program, we had the basic thought that we were going to teach women and girls skills
with which they could defend themselves.

Turns out – that is only part of what we do. These classes have become so much more in a short period of time. We have a number of ladies who have been abused or assaulted that are being set free – emotionally, physically and spiritually. To watch them change and grow is incredible. These ladies and girls are truly becoming empowered with confidence and courage that
    they have never experienced before.

Before you jump to the conclusion that this is just an estrogen filled emotional class, here are a few things that happen. Hair gets pulled / they get pulled from behind with guns and knives to their heads / they get slammed against walls and choked – just to name a few.

By the way, I was practicing a few weeks ago with my wife. I was on top of her holding her down and I told her to see if she could get out. She asked, “Do you really want me to?” I said, ” Yeah, cuz I don’t think you can.” The next thing I know, I am laying six feet away in a fetal position holding my chest because it hurt so bad. Did I mention I am twice the size of my wife?

Fight Like a Girl is a mindset and a lifestyle. One which I am proud to be a part of and to teach to others. If you live in Fremont County or close by and you want to be part of it, come to our
FREE Fight Like a Girl Seminar on April 12th – this Thursday. You won’t regret it.

So – you wanna fight like a girl? I do.
