• Roll Over and Die? I Don’t Think So…

  • All right. That’s it. I have had enough of the past four years of people whining and complaining about how tough things are. The reason I can say that is because I was there too. Through those years we had some ups and downs, but my wife and I had a turning point in February of this year. We decided that we were no longer going to let our circumstances dictate to us how we should live. The biggest change for us was that no matter what, we decided we were going to succeed. Since that point in time, one of our businesses has more than doubled in size and is continuing to grow. We have also launched another business that is steadily growing and several more are in the works.

There have been a few tough economic years, but so what? Are you going to give up? Are you just going to roll over and die?

My wife was talking to several people the other day that are just going through the motions of life and business. They don’t have a plan to succeed, they are just hoping things will work out. They are taking one month at a time, hoping the next month will be better. They are ready to give up if it is not. That is how we used to run our businesses. If we build it, they will come was our attitude. However – that was just a movie. It doesn’t work in real life. The old definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

You have got to quit making excuses and blaming everyone and everything else. It does not matter who is the president. It does not matter who controls congress. It does not matter what the economy is like. There are people succeeding all across this great country. Why don’t you become one of them?

First – Decide to succeed. Second – Make a plan. Third – Implement it. Fourth – Never give up!

Fifth – Just for fun…sing the old Twisted Sister song “We’re not gonna take it anymore!”

So are you going to roll over and die? I don’t think so!
