  • A professional martial arts school will be a safe place to be. Safety should always be the number one concern above all else when your child is involved in any activity. The school should be clean and orderly. The equipment should be in good shape. Look around for any possible safety hazards and be sure to ask the instructors about a potential problem that you may see. There should not be any horse play allowed. The instructors should be aware of what the students are doing at all times. As a parent, your safety concerns should go beyond the physical safety of your child. How about the mental / emotional safety of your child? A good school will have a positive family-friendly atmosphere. This point ties back to part three in this series.
