How much? What are the costs? Some good questions to ask are: How much are the start up costs? How much do they charge for belt tests? How often do belt tests take place? Will I be required to buy uniforms? What other items / equipment will be required? How much is monthly membership? Are there family discounts? Are there any annual dues? Are there any hidden costs? Do I have to sign a contract? Some schools simply charge month to month. Other schools make you sign contracts that you may be legally obligated to fulfill. This might not be a good thing if after signing up you decide that this is not the school for you. If you do sign a contract, you need to make sure that you have a legal way out of the agreement without having to pay penalties for leaving the program early. Next time – Talk to students & parents.
